Her practice focuses on Animal-Assisted Interventions (A-AI) with children, K-12. The Vahsh, LLC facility animal program, Humane Connection (HC) was adopted by Coeur d’Alene Schools in 2024. Erin currently oversees CDA School's HC program.

Blue is a certified therapy dog with Alliance of Therapy Dogs and an all-around good boy. He interacts positively with other animals and supports potential communication barriers. Blue has been specially trained to interact with children and is a patient, intuitive, guardian. His favorite things to do are conserve energy and sing along to soulful music.
